Cristel Baiu is a renowned Romanian traditional art painter and a modern art sculptor, having won awards in several national art festivals: First prize (Ceramics) 1981, First prize (Ceramics) 1983, First prize (Ceramics) 1985, First prize (Ceramics and Sculpture) 1987, Jury’s Special prize (Sculpture) 1990.
